Golda was rescued from the street in the part of Belgrade called Visnjicka banja, with visible signs of gravidity. Today at 13pm she was sterilized.
At the same place where Golda was found, we saw at least 10 other cats.
A rough estimate is that Belgrade has hundreds of thousands of stray cats. A lot of citizens leave or throw food for cats. I ask the citizens who feed them, while they know that they live in a country that does nothing for that matter, is it possible that they don’t think about sterilization at all. They think about shelters when these cats have kittens, but they do not even think about asking for advice on how and where to sterilize a stray cat for free.
