In 2020, Zlata, aware of her age and the responsibility involved in providing long-term care for cats, began to consider whether she would be able to care for each of them for the rest of their lives. It became clear that this might not be possible in the future. For this reason, we decided to stop accepting new cats into the shelter and instead focus more of the Association’s work on the spaying and neutering of abandoned cats through our TNR program.
In this way, we help countless cats that, without population control, would be condemned to life on the streets, where many would suffer or die from illness, hunger, injuries, and other dangers.
Although the shelter no longer accepts new cats, those already in our care remain under our lifelong protection.
We respond to emails exclusively to answer questions and provide advice regarding the care, welfare, and health of your cat. Please describe the situation as clearly as possible in your message and, when necessary, attach photographs or other relevant information.
