Nowadays in Belgrade cat lovers should stay locked in their homes and they should not leave under any circumstances. 

If they only protrude, they will find kittens or a pregnant cat or a sick cat or an injured cat, all of them abandoned and without any protection.It happened to me two times this week. 

First time on the street in the part of Belgrade called Visnjicka banja and I saved the cat. There were other cats, but this one, Golda, was the most vulnerable.

Second time few days later on Zrenjanin road. I was driving and I saw a box that was moving. I stopped the car. There was a cat, not older than 5-7 months, whose both back legs were injured. How could I leave her? Hundreds of vehicles passed by it, but the box caught only my attention.

Such boxes, bags or packages attract only animal lovers’ attention. And that makes us different, and that makes us the most vulnerable minority in Serbia, a minority of animal lovers who, because of their natural orientation, are convicted of the lifelong suffering, along with the animals.

I am taking her to the vet’s by my own car. It is very difficult for her to poo. Her spine is fine, but she cannot use her back legs. She has painful reaction when I touch her.

And how many cats can be placed in the limited space and about how many cats can one person take care? And when will people understand what a "shelter in Serbia" really means?

Please forget about the "Animal Planet". It does not exist in Serbia.
