On the May 23rd 2012, when he was driving over the bridge on his way to work, Mr. Milan Ćalić thought he saw something near the sidewalk.
Because of the traffic, he couldn’t park his car on the bridge, so he cross over the bridge and return on foot. He videotaped and photographed this:
Nobody knows for how long this little kitten was standing here. It wasn’t making any moves, because the little kitty knew it could cost it its life. Milan was afraid that any sudden move would frighten the kitten and it could run to the street. But the kitten didn’t move so the rescue operation was successful and for that we are very greatful to Milan. After that, he took the kitten to the shelter:
We assume that someone tried to throw the kitten, probably more than one, to the river from the moving car, but somehow this little kitten ended up on the sidewalk. Chances that the kitten came to the middle of the bridge all by itself were slim.
The kitten was named Bridgy (after the bridge).
Today Bridgy is a wonderful, cuddly, healthy cat who is waiting for his forever home. Tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
We are hoping that the injustice will be make up for and he will find a loving family.
